The Killers vor Black Eyed Peas und den Beatles
Die Zeile "Are we human? Are we dancer?" aus dem The Killers-Hit "Human" ist nach einer Umfrage des britischen Streamingportals Blinkbox Music die unlogischste Songzeile aller Zeiten. 2000 Befragte hievten die Popband um Brandon Flowers damit aufs Siegertreppchen vor überaus namhafter Konkurrenz. Und das obwohl Flowers seinerzeit schon betonte, die grammatikalisch nicht korrekte Zeile beziehe sich auf das Hunter S. Thompson-Zitat "We're raising a generation of dancers". Genützt hats nix. Dennoch ist die eigentliche Überraschung der Umfrage die äußerst schwache Platzierung der Über-Nonsens-Band Black Eyed Peas. Hier die Plätze 2 bis 10:

"I am the eggman" ergibt Sinn, das war irgendwas mit dem Sänger einer anderen Band, der sich gerne von gepflegten Damen mit rohem Eigelb einbalsamieren ließ, und zwar in the naughty naked nude.
