Vorchecking 2025: Die Album-Highlights des Jahres

METAL A-L

2025 lässt im Metal einiges erhoffen. Arch Enemy, Architects, Dream Theater und Ghost haben ihre Longplayer im Kasten. Es wird gebrüllt, gekloppt und der Mummenschanz von Tobias Forge samt Ghoulettes und Ghouls geht in die nächste Runde. Eine ausgedehnte Welt-Tournee durch die größten Arenen ist auch schon gebucht.

Nach dem beeindruckenden Live-Dokument "Rite Here Rite Now" dürften die Schweden ihrem Zirkus noch mal einen obendrauf setzen. Im Gegensatz zu anderen Genres, in denen altgediente Veteranen gerne mal das Prädikat "hängengeblieben" angeheftet wird, lechzen Hartwurst-Freunde gerne nach neuem Material der Helden. Deftones, Dimmu Borgir und Evanescence lassen sich wohl auch nicht lumpen und kommen mit neuen Werken um die Ecke. Ganz besonders gespannt darf man auch auf Gojiras noch unbetiteltes Album warten. Nachdem sie bei den Olympischen Spielen für das musikalische Highlight gesorgt haben, erwartet man nicht weniger als die Goldmedaille von den Duplantiers.
